Race Day!

Bucyrus sponsored a road race back in June. Tickets to the race, and associated Tim McGraw concert, were free for employees. (They tried to recoup some of their money through shuttle costs but we opted to do all our own driving.) Chris and I attended the Tim McGraw concert on a Thursday night and on Saturday, Chris took the boys to the race.
Noah and Ian were anticipating this day for about two weeks. Asking each morning if this was the day they would go to the race. Finally, race day arrived! They drove for about an hour, found a place to pretend there was a parking spot and set out to get the lay of the land.

There were Bucyrus Villages that had a plethora of snacks, drinks and goodies that were all free to employees. Chris let the boys go to town and they did they ever, consuming the following: snow cone, popcorn, soda, ice cream, oreo cookies, cotton candy, ice cream sandwiches, and on the way home, a Happy Meal.
They would watch for a few minutes and then head back the village for something else.

The beginning of the race we a little slow since the track was so big you could only see a few turns from any given spot. But once the cars spread out a bit there was always someone coming by your turn.

It was a great Daddy's Day Out. I love that my boys are daddy's boys and they are thrilled to spend time with him. I love their daddy too.

Looks like a great day! Reminds me a little of the Pizza Hut Picnics and holiday celebrations with the goodies.
