Life went on while I was feeling sub-par. We finally got some snow. I say finally because a little is always fun and it seemed everywhere else was really getting hammered.
Chris was shoveling the driveway (I think he had to do it 3 times in a day and a half!) when he was struck by inspiration. He was so excited to show me his "surprise." It made me laugh. Especially, when as it warmed up they started bowing to the people on the street.
The other best part of snow is going sledding as a family. We all love it! We have found a most excellent hill that is long and fast but not so steep that you hate walking back up to the top.
And when the temps stay cold we made out annual jaunt to the Domes, bioshperes with different climates, none of which are winter:)
We went with some of our favorite people. The tropical dome had Sage's hair curling up. It was a nice reminder why I don't want to chop it off.
We also attended Museum Night at Noah's school. All of the projects were in honor of Greendale's 75th Anniversary and had to do with the history of the Village.
Noah and several of his classmates (Tyler, pictured above with Noah, is our next door neighbor as well!) worked on Recess Games and learned about games that were different in the past and games that are still the same today.
One day at the library we found a fun surprise near the DVDs! Due to some unusual circumstances Ian has been enrolled in two schools this year. The Greendale Playschool is where he attends in the morning, 3 days a week.
These were their painting projects after discussing Georgia O'Keefe (among other famous people).
And whose paintings should I spy in the middle at the top? Ian's big flower with the sun shining down on it!
A lot of life those last months of winter included my couch but the kids (and Chris) have been patient and prayerful for me.
