15 Months Old and Walking!

Sage has discovered the idea of pockets. Not really the pockets themselves, but the idea. At the park this morning she was trying to shove wood chips up her shorts. And not to long ago it was bites of sandwich down the shirt.

She doesn't wave or do any of the signs I have tried to teach her. She will request something with the classic 'gimmie' gesture of opening and closing her fingers. Pointing is a new gesture as well.
She is not our best sleeper but seems to do the best without sleep, which is especially helpful on Sundays. Since Chris was called as bishop he can't keep her the 2nd hour of church-or any hour for that matter! So, she stays in the primary room with the primary presidency taking turns keeping an eye on her. She has really adjusted well and now when I come in 3rd hour she doesn't even always come over to see me.
She has grown quite a bit of hair in the last three months. Some of it curls and some of it is straight, poor girl. It really needs a bit of trim on top to keep the "bangs" from out of her eyes, but I don't really want to cut it yet. Won't she eventually let me put a barrette in it?

She loves music still and now that she is standing and walking a bit she tries to do more than just bob her head. Usually, it turns into stomping.

Sage took her first three steps in the Chicago airport. My camera was packed away.

This is from just a few days ago. She has been practicing but still relies on crawling as her quickest way of getting from point A to point B.

Sage is a delight. Her magic lies in charming us out of any mood with her smiles and cuddles!

Bless her little heart---she seems so self sufficient for such a tiny girl. I'll be happy to get a hold of her!
