My Husband's Cousin's Wife

Melina is her name. Cousin by marriage sounds so, I don't know, cold or something.

Although coming up with the shortest, best way to introduce her at enrichment might have been a challenge we were so glad to have the challenge in the first place. Chris' cousin, Ben and his little family drove up from St. Louis to spend a few days with us in the cornfields. Um, actually, soybean fields this year.
Anyway, we had a great time. We got to play some new fun games, which Chris and I are always on the hunt for. Ben creates games and has even made moves to get one sold to a gaming company. How cool is that? This one is called Pandemic.

We went to the Colombian Park Zoo, a little zoo at a local park that is free. Gotta love free! We saw a llama who had been shaved sorta funny,
monkeys,
and a dancing porcupine.
The prairie dog caught me taking his picture and gave me the evil eye.
We found out that Ian likes goats.

And while I could only get a picture of Noah's backside,Ben, Melina and Arianna were happy to show me their beautiful faces:)
We capped off that outing with a trip to the frozen custard joint. The oldest family owned, drive-up in IN.
And no trip to the area would be complete without a quick tour of Purdue campus. It was pretty quiet with it being summer.


And finally we got a picture of the whole group on the last day, at Chris' lab, thanks to the camera timer. Where are the random helpful people when you need them?
It was a great time juggling naps and time changes and totally worth it! At least for us. Ben, Melina, we are so glad you were willing to make the trip! It was so fun and we can't wait to do it again some time, maybe in Nauvoo. Anyone else want to meet up with us there?
