The last day of preschool was a garden party for the mommies. It was just about the sweetest thing ever!
We (the mothers) were all lined up out in the hall and called forward one at a time to be greeted by our son/daughter.
Each child ran forward with such enthusiasm you would think that they hadn't seen their parent in a week or two. How could such excitement combined with a hug, smile and bouquet of flowers not be heart-meltingly flattering?Mrs. Dankle explained that they discussed and planned for the necessary elements for a successful garden party.
First, was decorating. Not pictured were the beautiful flowers that were hung on the walls and windows. The center of each tall flower was a picture of each student with their mother.
Second, was food. The kids had made the cookies themselves at school. (And of course, a good host does all the serving.) And third, was entertainment. To that end they had prepared several songs.
And even a book about what the kids would be doing for the summer. The illustrations were all done by the kids.
Noah had a great year at preschool and I really appreciated the patience and expertise of Mrs. D and Mrs. P.
